Dr Glenda Lattimore is a registered psychologist with more than 20 years of clinical experience, and a background in teaching and research. She works with adults on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and relationship difficulties.
Her experience includes supporting people living with illness, including cancer, people managing pain, and those caring for others. Her research doctorate in behavioural science in medicine informs care that considers your mental health, relationships and physical health together.

Practical, evidence-based treatment
Your treatment is tailored to your goals, preferences and clinical needs. Assessment considers the physical, psychological and social factors affecting your mental health, often called a biopsychosocial approach.
Together, you and Dr Lattimore agree on a treatment plan and review your progress. Depending on your needs, sessions may draw on the following approaches.

Christian faith, if you want it included
Dr Lattimore can include your Christian faith in counselling and psychological treatment at your request. It is entirely optional, and people of all faiths and none are welcome. How faith can be included.
Your first appointment
- Understanding what is happening. Dr Lattimore asks about your concerns, relevant history and how they affect daily life. Some intake information may be requested beforehand.
- Your goals. Together you identify what you would like to change and the support you need.
- A plan. You discuss the recommended approach, how often to meet and how progress will be reviewed. Confidentiality, consent and any contact with your GP are explained.
For couples, the first session also explores each person's perspective and whether joint sessions are suitable. Starting couples counselling.
